We try to publish daily postings to the blog. Our followers like it that way and we don't like the extra effort it takes to catch up when we get behind. Unfortunately, there are times when we can't post.
The key ingredient of posting is a usable internet connection. We have 3 options.
(1) Our Verizon Mobile Hotspot is the preferred choice. It's secure, faster than any other option and it works wherever our phone works.
(2) Many campgrounds offer WiFi. Some even advertise it as high-speed internet ... and it's really fast, if you don't use it. This is our second choice only because of convenience. The speed is usually agonizingly slow. Their bandwidths are too narrow. Example: you can push a lot more water through a pipe than a straw.
(3) Public WiFi is also an option. We've used it before. The performance is usually better than the campgrounds, but they're often too far away to be useful.
So ... this is to let you know we're in an area where cell coverage is spotty (at best), campground WiFi is useless and public WiFi is many miles away. We will be writing off-line and posting when conditions improve.
Enjoy your Labor Day holiday!
